FAQ
Joining, classes, the heat, the room itself — what Te Aro visitors ask before their first mat.
Before you begin
If you don't see your question here, call us or drop into the studio on Cuba Street.
No. Our beginners course and yin classes are built for people starting from nothing. Come as you are and let the practice meet you where you are.
You practice a full class alongside our regular students, with hands-on guidance from the teacher. See the memberships and start your trial at /join.
Unlimited monthly, Eight classes a month and the Ten-class pass suit different rhythms of practice. See the memberships for full detail at /join.
So every student gets hands-on adjustments, not just a cue shouted from the front of the room. It keeps the class personal, whatever your experience.
Check the timetable at /classes. Each class lists its day, time and teacher, so you can book the one that suits you.
Pausing and cancelling terms are set out when you join. See the memberships at /join for full detail.
Bring a water bottle and a towel. Mats are provided in the studio.
Vinyasa flow is practised in a heated room, which warms the muscles and deepens the breath. If you'd rather start without heat, yin yoga and the beginners course are practised at room temperature.
Vinyasa flow is a heated, moving practice. Yin yoga is slow and held, at room temperature. The beginners course introduces the postures and breath from scratch. See all three at /our-classes.
We're at 22 Cuba Street, Te Aro, Wellington 6011. Open Monday to Friday 6am–8.30pm, and weekends 8am–5pm.
